VIDEO OF THE WEEK

At the Tuesday, May 6 meeting of the Uptown Planners, the board unanimously voted to allow the residential tower to return to the developer's drawing board instead of giving it (what seems to be) a big rejection.

The community group (www.bankershillresidents.org) held presentations to educate the neighborhood on what was planned. The 11-story project would tower over the historic Britt Scripps House adjacent to the property. The planners insisted on moving the two floors of parking underground, adding retail space & re-working the design.
